The LINDZ4 departure
The LINDZ4 departure is required on all Aspen departures. Runway
33 will always be used for departure.
- Initial departure heading is 340.
After passing 8,700, turn left to heading 270. Diagram 1
depicts a left turn climbing through 8,700.

- From a 270 heading, join the I-PKN backcourse, frequency
108.5 and course 300. In diagram 2, a right turn to 300
is being initiated as the backcourse is intercepted.

Diagram 3 |
- The backcourse
is to be flown until LINDZ intersection. Once on a 300 heading
established on the backcourse, tune to DBL frequency 113.0.
Fly heading 300 until LINDZ intersection, 13 DME from DBL
on the DBL 244 radial outbound. In normal operations, a left
turn will be initiated to join the DBL 244 radial outbound
to GLENO. From GLENO or DBL 23 DME, hold until above 16,000,
and then resume the EKR, RIL, or JNC transitions by continuing
on the radial, or make a left turn to join the DBL 064 radial
inbound for the DBL, SXW, and RLG transitions. In diagram
3, because the DBL transition is being used and the airplane
is above 16,000 by LINDZ, an imediate right turn can be initiated
to join the DBL 064 radial inbound direct to DBL. We will
use the DBL transition in this tutorial. from which a right
turn to DBL can be initiated.
